Hoteles "embrujados" del mundo

Celebrity spotting is unlike any other Hotel Roosevelt, Hollywood. Marilyn Monroe was a resident here for two years while her modelling career was taking off. Seems as though she never left since her restless spirit is often sighted by guests. Another frequent guest (strictly spiritual) is actor Montgomery Clift who is often heard playing the trombone.

HOTEL ROOSEVELT, ESTADOS UNIDOS

Stephen King's Overlook Hotel in the Shining was inspired by Colorado's Stanley Hotel. Guests have often reported sightings of the hotel’s founder F.O. Stanley, co-inventor of the Stanley Steamer, and his wife, Flora, playing her haunting melodies from the ballroom piano.

STANLEY HOTEL, ESTADOS UNIDOS

El hotel Overlook de Stephen King de la novela de terror El resplandor está inspirado en el hotel Stanley de Colorado. Se cree que el fundador del hotel y coinventor del vehículo a vapor Stanley Steamer, F.O. Stanley, y su esposa Flora tocan inolvidables melodías en el piano del salón de baile.
Hotel Chelsea is closed for renovations though some guests do not seem to mind this small fact. They include Dylan Thomas (who died of pneumonia while staying here in 1953) and Sid Vivious (who's girlfriend was stabbed to death here in 1978). The ghost of American novelist Thomas Wolfe is also said to haunt the eighth floor.

The Queen Mary became known as "the haunted ship" after numerous disasters, including a split hull that left few survivors. A popular ocean liner for Transatlantic travel, it carried many dignitaries and celebrities across the sea. When it retired from service, Queen Mary became a floating hotel. Many people died on board over the years. It is believed that the ghosts of these people still haunt the hotel.

HOTEL QUEEN MARY, ESTADOS UNIDOS

El Queen Mary cobró fama de "barco embrujado" debido a sus numerosas tragedias, incluyendo un derrumbe que dejó varias víctimas fatales. The Russell Hotel served as a hospital during deadly outbreaks of smallpox and bubonic plague, and later became a rooming house and hostel for sailors. It is said that room number eight is haunted by one of the seamen. Staff members have also claimed to have heard unexplained footsteps over creaky floors during the night.

RUSSELL HOTEL, AUSTRALIA

El Russell Hotel, en Sídney, hizo las veces de hospital durante los letales brotes de viruela y plaga bubónica, y luego pasó a ser una pensión y albergue para marineros. They should also relax if they feel an unknown presence. icy breathe on their faces, see the ghost of a young girl skipping down the hall or the vision of an old lady knitting in a chair.

HOTEL BURCHIANTI, ITALIA

Los huéspedes del hotel embrujado Burchianti, en Florencia, no deben asustarse si escuchan un ruido en medio de la noche y ven al espíritu de una mucama limpiando la habitación. Guests and staff members claim they've encountered the ghost of an elderly bellhop Sam Macauley, who so loved the hotel that he continued working there even after he died. Another resident ghost is thought to be a young bride who died on her wedding day at the hotel. The Fairmont management adamantly denies any ghostly activity, but stories abound.

FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS, CANADÁ

Isobella Shaw, the former Lady of the Castle in 1625, was locked her inside a room by her husband, immediately after she gave birth to their son. She died after falling out of a window in an attempt to escape. It is believed she has wandered the castle for over 400 years in search of the son who was taken from her.

BALLYGALLY CASTLE HOTEL, IRLANDA DEL NORTE

Isobella Shaw, la ex Dama del Castillo en 1625, fue encerrada en su habitación por su marido después de dar a luz a su hijo. Isobella murió tras caer de la ventana cuando intentaba escapar. Se cree que aún vaga errante por el castillo buscando al hijo que le fue arrebatado.
It is rumored that the Grand Hyatt was erected over land that had once served as a Japanese execution ground and prison camp during World War II. Abound by paranormal encounters, even action star Jackie Chan apparently stormed out of his suite in the middle of the night after encountering a ghost. Desperate, management turned to feng shui experts to fend off spirits.

GRAND HYATT, TAIWÁN

Se rumorea que Grand Hyatt fue construido sobre excampo de prisioneros y sitio de ejecuciones durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Aquí abundan los encuentros paranormales: al parecer, incluso el actor Jackie Chan salió corriendo de su suite en medio de la noche después de haber visto a un fantasma. This landmark resort more than a century old has had it's share of ghostly sightings. A part of the John Cusack-starrer 1408 came from a collection of real-life news stories about parapsychologist Christopher Chacon's investigation of a notoriously haunted room here.

Este emblemático hotel tiene más de un siglo y tiene su buena porción de encuentros paranormales. Parte de la película 1408 de John Cusack está inspirada en una serie de historias reales sobre la investigación del parapsicólogo Christopher Chacon de una de las habitaciones embrujadas más conocidas.
A former military prison used to house Nazis and Soviets, the prison walls still depict the graffiti of former prisoners which makes for chilling bedtime reading. Guests would also have to share accommodation with the ghost of a woman who hung herself after learning her fiancé was executed here.

HOTEL DE LA PRISIÓN KAROSTA, LETONIA

HOTEL MYSTAYS AKASAKA, JAPÓN

One of Denmark's oldest buildings, Dragsholm Slot is a 12th century castle with 3 resident ghosts, the Earl of Bothwell, the White Lady and the Grey Lady. James Hepburn, the 4th Earl of Bothwell, and third husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, died here. Since then visitors have seen the Earl riding into the courtyard and heard the s of his horse beating on the cobbled yard.

DRAGSHOLM SLOT, DINAMARCA

El Dragsholm Slot, un castillo del siglo XII, es uno de los edificios más viejos de Dinamarca y en él residen tres fantasmas: el conde de Bothwell, la dama de blanco y la dama de gris. James Hepburn, el cuarto conde de Bothwell, y tercer esposo de Mary, la reina de Escocia, murió aquí. This hotel is thought to be inhabited by numerous ghosts, from the doctor who killed his wife, then himself, to a German prince who jumped from a fourth floor window. Room 333 is probably the most haunted room in the entire hotel, visited by both the prince and other ghosts, including one who likes shoving guests out of the bed.
